    যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের একটি আন্দোলন ও তাকে কেন্দ্র করে রাষ্ট্রীয় ও দলীয় সন্ত্রাস, কুৎসার উল্টোদিকে যেভাবে আপনারা, সাধারণ ছাত্রযুব ও সমাজের সংবেদনশীল বিভিন্ন অংশের মানুষেরা এসে দাঁড়িয়েছেন এবং যাদবপুরের আন্দোলনকে বিশ্বব্যাপি গণতান্ত্রিক ছাত্র-ব্যক্তি-আমজনতার স্বাধীনভাবে বাঁচতে চাওয়ার দাবীর সাথে মিলিয়ে দিয়েছেন, তাতে আমরা, আন্দোলনকারী যাদবপুরের ছাত্রীছাত্ররা অনুপ্রাণীত। রাজনৈতিক দল থেকে বড় কর্পোরেট মিডিয়া যতই আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে, আমাদের ন্যায্য দাবী গুলোর বিপক্ষে মিথ্যার বেসাতি করুক, আমরা বুঝতে পারছি, আমরা ভুল করিনি। আমাদের দাবী শুধু আর আমাদের দাবী নেই, তা সমস্ত গণতান্ত্রীক মানুষের দাবীর সাথে এক হয়েগেছে। সমস্ত কলেজ-ইউনিভার্সিটির সমস্ত ছাত্রীছাত্রের বাঁচতে চাওয়ার লড়াই-এর সাথে একাত্ম হয়েগেছে। বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে প্রতিবাদের স্বর এসে পৌঁছচ্ছে, জায়গায় জায়গায় স্বাধীন স্বতন্ত্রভাবে ছাত্রীছাত্ররা জোট বাঁধার তোরজোর শুরু করেছেন, তার খবর পাচ্ছি। গত ২০ সেপ্টেম্বরের মহামিছিল আরো একবার প্রমান করে দিয়েছে ছাত্রীছাত্রদের প্রতিবাদে ফেটে পড়ার শক্তিকে। আমরা প্রাণীত হয়েছি হাজার হাজার মানুষের প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয় উপেক্ষা করে অদম্য জেদ দেখে। এত বন্ধু আমাদের পাশে, আর আমরা সেদিন ভাবছিলাম আমরা একা। পদাতিক কবি বলেছিলেন ‘রাস্তাই একমাত্র রাস্তা’। আর সেদিন আমরা রাস্তা থেকেই শিখলাম ‘জনগণের শক্তি’ কাকে বলে। জনগণ পথে নামলে তার উল্টোদিকে পুলিশ-বাউন্সার-র‍্যাফ-মিলিটারি-প্যারা মিলিটারি-রিসার্ভ ব্যাটেলিয়ন ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি কম পরবে বই কি। লাঠির মুখে গানের সুর, শুধু যাদবপুর নয়, সারা বিশ্ব দেখাবে।

    আন্দোলনকে বিভিন্ন তকমা লাগানো একটি চিরকালীন অভ্যেস, এক্ষেত্রেও তার গত্যান্তর হয় নি। এই ধরণের প্রচার-তকমার মুখোমুখি আমরা হয়েছিলাম ২০০৫-এ ২০১০-এ। সেসময় শুধু ‘বড়বাবু’টি অন্য কেউ ছিল, অন্য কোন রঙ ছিল তার গায়ে। কিন্তু, ‘জামা কাপড়ের রঙ বদলয়ায়, দিন বদলায় না’। এমন কোন ঘটনা আমাদের জন্য ঘটেনি যাতে আমরা আর একটু ভালো ভাবে বাঁচতে পারবো। একজনের জন্যও চাকরি সুনিশ্চিৎ হয়নি, একজনের জন্যও খাবার। শুধু চাকরি, খাবার দিয়েই বলছিনা, আসলে আমরা কেউ ভালো নেই। আর তাই আমাদের কলরবগুলো মিলে যায় একই সুরে একই স্লোগানে। যাদবপুরে মিশে যায় নাড়ুলা, হরিপাল কলেজে পৌছে যায় প্রেসিডেন্সী, নিউ ইয়র্ক ইউনিভার্সিটির ওুপ্য এর অভিজ্ঞতায় মেডিকেল কলেজ নতুন করে পড়তে বসে ‘কর্কট রোগ’-এর ইতিবৃত্ত। শিকরহীন, অস্তিত্বহীন ‘বহিরাগত’-দের মিছিল স্পেন থেকে গ্রীস হয়ে তাহরির স্কোয়ারে পর্যটন করে নেমে আসে নন্দন থেকে মেয়ো রোড ক্রসিঙের মাঝখানে। ‘ফুলো-ওয়ালী আজাদী’র খোঁজে।।।
    আজকের এই কনভেনশন তাই যাদবপুরের শুধু নয়। আজকের কনভেনশন একটা সেতু রচনার- নিজেদের হাতে হাতে। ভোটবাজ কোন পার্টিকে আগামী ভোটে জেতানোর জন্যে নয়। আমাদের, আমাদের চারপাশে ছড়িয়ে থাকা অসংখ্য বন্দী দেহ গুলোতে ‘কারামুক্তির সমাচার’ পৌঁছে দিতেই আজকের এই গণ-কনভেনশন। আজ এখানে প্রকাশ্য আলোচনায়, গণতান্ত্রিকভাবে আমাদের প্রত্যেকের দাবী মিশে যাক অন্যদের দাবীগুলোর সাথে। সংশ্লেষ হোক, নিজেদের মধ্যে তর্ক-বিতর্ক হোক। আসুন বন্ধু, ‘আমার’, ‘আপনার’ দাবীতে নয়, আজ এসে পৌঁছই ‘আমাদের’ কোন দাবীতে। শুরুতে হয়তো দেখতে অল্প লাগতে পারে, কিন্তু ‘রাস্তা’ সেটাকে টেনে নিয়ে যাবে ‘অন্য গানের ভোরে’ এই আশা আমাদের প্রত্যেকের।

  • কয়েকটা পয়েন্ট পরিষ্কার করা দরকার

    ১. যে তদন্ত কমিটি উপাচার্য বানিয়েছিলেন,
    তা নিরপেক্ষ নয়, সরকারের বানানো কমিটিও তাই।
    ফলে পুলিশ যদি অভিযুক্ত ছাত্রদের থানায়
    হাজিরা দিতে বলে, সেটা এই পক্ষপাতদুষ্ট তদন্ত
    কমিশনকেই মেনে নেওয়াকে সমর্থন করে।
    বিশাখা কমিশন না মেনে তদন্ত কমিটি গঠিত
    হলে আমরা কেন সেই ছাত্রদের পুলিশের
    কাছে যেতে দেব? আমরা মেয়েটির পক্ষেও নই,
    অভিযুক্তদের পক্ষেও নই। নিরপেক্ষ তদন্তের পক্ষে।
    এখনও জানিনা কে দোষী। খামকা একটা বায়াসড
    কমিটির হাতে আমরা কাউকেই ছেড়ে দিতে যাবো কেন?

    ২. মিডিয়ার অধিকাংশ একটা অতি সরলীকৃত প্রচার
    চালাচ্ছে, ক্যাম্পাসে শ্লীলতাহানির জন্য
    আমরা ভিসির পদত্যাগ চাই। মোটেই তা নয়। ভিসির
    কাছে আমরা নিরপেক্ষ তদন্ত কমিটি গড়ার আবেদন
    করেছিলাম। তিনি, প্রথমত, একটি পক্ষপাতদুষ্ট
    তদন্তকমিটি গড়েছিলেন, তা আমরা মানিনি।
    দ্বিতীয়ত, আমাদের অবস্থান ও ঘেরাও তোলার জন্য
    পুলিশকে দিয়ে গুণ্ডামি করিয়েছেন। এই
    দুটো কারণে আমরা তার পদত্যাগ চাইতে শুরু করি।
    ব্যাপারটা উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদি
    তভাবে গুলিয়ে দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

    ৩. ক্যাম্পাসে কেবল ২৮ তারিখ একটি শ্লীলতাহানির
    ঘটনার অভিযোগ হয়নি। পুলিশের দ্বারা আমার ১৩
    জন সহপাঠী ১৭ তারিখ লাঞ্ছিতা হয়েছেন। এই
    শ্লীলতাহানির তদন্তের কথা চাপা পড়ে যাচ্ছে কেন?
    এই দাবী প্রকাশ্যে আসছে না কেন সেভাবে???
    এটা কী কোনো লঘু বিষয়???

    As per the HC rule as in our last post
    A NEW RULE has been implemented that students have to possess ID cards for entry to JU campus and police kiosks will be posted outside 2 Main Gates of JU Campus.

    The entire history of mankind have never seen such immoral act of police being posted outside an educational institution.

    In protest to this immoral act students have called for a "Dharna" outside JU main gate where students will sit and will remain seated until such rules are abolished.

    The demonstration will start at 10 a.m in front of JU main gate and all are welcome.

    But the LALBAZAR ABHIJAN have been called off.
    Now its time to sit bside our brothers and sisters of JU.

    We have heard learned counsel arguing for the
    petitioners as well as respondent university and State.
    Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, learned
    senior counsel and Mr. Arunava Ghosh, learned senior
    counsel submit that they are interested to file
    applications on behalf of some students who are
    interested in the matter and they must be permitted to be
    impleaded. We direct the office to serve copies of the
    cause title to the intending parties to come on record so
    as to facilitate them to file the necessary application in
    the office.
    Having regard to the situation prevailing in the
    respondent university campus and the negotiations going
    on at the behest of Hon’ble Chancellor, Government and
    the University, the fact situation reveals no classes being
    conducted in the University as on today. According to
    the learned counsel representing the University, the

    faculty, willing students and the officials connected to the
    University are not allowed to enter the premises and
    discharge their duties. According to the learned counsel,
    the situation is so grave that willing students are
    physically prevented from entering the campus. It is also
    brought to our notice that outsiders are taking more
    interest than the students concerned with ulterior
    motives. Therefore, there has to be intervention of this
    Court to have peaceful atmosphere in the campus so as
    to run the classes normally.
    As we gather from the submissions that willing
    students are not allowed to enter the campus as
    outsiders are creating trouble at the entrance which is
    seriously and strongly denied by the intending
    respondents / students. However, in a situation of this
    nature, it would not be possible to anyone to control
    without the intervention of the State mechanism as the
    learned Government Advocate submits as and when a
    requisition was sent from the University, they had given
    necessary police assistance and even now the police from
    outside the campus are watching the situation
    constantly.
    In the light of above observations, it would be
    just and proper to have normalcy in the campus.
    Therefore, we are of the opinion there has to be
    interim directions which would assist and enable the
    University to have a normal day-to-day administration.

    They are: -
    a) A police outpost shall be installed at the
    required entrances of the University
    campus so that the police personnel are
    available to divert any untoward incident
    happening.
    b) The entry to the University campus should
    be restricted to the identity card holders i.e.
    the students, faculty or staff of the
    campus.
    c)
    If any students intend to agitate, they are
    at liberty to do so at a place indicated by
    the University so that there shall not be
    any disturbance to the running of the
    classes.
    d) If any outsider intends to visit the
    University, the University shall have a
    desk at the entrance of the University
    campus who shall issue passes after
    verifying the details of the prospective
    visitor who intends to visit the University.
    e) The state is directed to deploy necessary
    police personnel to control the situation
    whenever needed.
    Place the matter after long Puja Vacation.

  • Resolutions of Emergency General Body Meeting of JUTA held on 25th Sept and the text of the circular issued by Registrar
    RESOLUTIONS
    Please read the Circular copied below. The Court ruling was circulated earlier.
    The Emergency General Body held on 25th Sept 2014 observed that the Circular issued by the Registrar has gone beyond the actions notified by the Hon. High Court.
    Resolved that we will comply by the rulings of the Court, but not the excesses detailed in the Circular issued by the Registrar on 25th Sept 2014. All JUTA members to assemble at the Office of the Registrar at 1.40 on 26th Sept to demand the Immediate Withdrawal of the Circular. JUTA demands that all future actions on behalf of the University must be decided after discussions with all stakeholders.
    It was also noted that the lawyer representing the University has misrepresented the facts by stating that "the faculty, willing students and the officials connected to the University are not allowed to enter the premises and discharge their duties"
    Resolved that JUTA will be a party to this petition and the General Secretary, JUTA be empowered to take all decisions in this matter.
    Resolved that as JUTA has received no positive response from either the Hon Minister in Charge of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal or the Hon Chancellor, Jadavpur University to the demand for an impartial enquiry in the series of events that led to the brutal police attack on students including the molestation of girl students, JUTA initiate legal proceedings for instituting such an enquiry. The Executive Committee be empowered to take necessary action on this matter.
    Resolved that an Emergency General Body meeting be held on Monday, 29th Sept at 3 pm at ESc 3/1 to discuss future action.

    In terms of the order dated 24th Sept. 2014, passed by the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta in WP no. 27428 (W) of 2014 (placed in official website of the High Court), it is stated that the entry to the University campus will be permitted to the Students, Scholars and employees of the University only on production of their respective Identity Card, issued by the University.
    For implementation of this Court Order all are requested to abide by the following:
    1. Ingress and egress of students/ scholars, employees & residents of the University shall be from Gate No. 1, 3 & 4 only.
    2. The visitors are to enter the Campus only through Gate 3, subject to obtaining a Gate-pass upon due verification. Permission for the entry of any visitor is at the sole discretion of the competent Authority of the University
    3. The University employees or residents, using their own vehicle may enter through gate number 3 and 5 only with designated/ proper car stickers
    4. Visitors entering the campus with vehicles are only allowed to enter through Gate No. 3 & 5 only with designated/ proper car stickers
    5. All cars will be allowed to exit through Gate no 4. only.
    6. Gate Pass/ Token issued to any visitor is to be surrendered at the time of exit, after getting it signed from the officials with whom he/ she visited.
    7. The designated place for the agitation/ protest/ assembly has been fixed at the area to the left of Triguna Sen Auditorium & Science Club, as an interim measure and under prior intimation to the University Authority.

    ইউনিভার্সিটি ক্যাম্পাসে পুলিশি অনুপ্রবেশ, আলো নিভিয়ে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের অবস্থান আন্দোলনের উপর কম্যান্ডো ও শাসক দলের ক্যাডারদের হামলা।

    পুলিশ কমিশনারের জবাবদিহি- “সশস্ত্র বহিরাগতরা ছিল... পুলিশ নিরস্ত্র ছিল।”
    শিক্ষামন্ত্রীর জবাবদিহি- “ঘেরাও অবস্থানের নামে বহিরাগতদের এনে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পবিত্রতা ও শৃঙ্খলা নষ্ট করা হয়েছে... যাদবপুরে কিছু লোক বাইরে থেকে রাজনৈতিক উদ্দেশ্যে গোলমাল পাকাতে চাইছে... ছাত্ররা ছাত্র-সুলভ আচরন করছে না...পুলিশ পুলিশের কাজ করেছে”।

    শিক্ষামন্ত্রীর জবাবদিহি- "ঘেরাও রাজনীতি কাম্য নয়। ছাত্রীর যৌন নিগ্রহের বিষয়টি পিছনে চলে যাচ্ছে।”
    যাদবপুরের 'অচলাবস্থা' কাটিয়ে 'স্বাভাবিক' অবস্থা ফেরানোর জন্য হাইকোর্টে 'জনস্বার্থ' মামলা দায়ের করেন আইনজীবী বিমলশঙ্কর নন্দ।

    শিক্ষামন্ত্রী, তৃনমূল ছাত্র পরিষদের সভাপতি শঙ্কুদেব পান্ডাকে নিয়ে নির্যাতিতা ছাত্রীর বাড়ি গেলেন।
    তৃনমূল যুবা-র সভাপতি ও সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের মন্তব্য – “মদ, গাঁজা, চরস বন্ধ, তাই যাদবপুরে প্রতিবাদের গন্ধ?”

    ২২শে সেপ্টেম্বর
    “শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে নৈরাজ্য বন্ধের দাবীতে” তৃনমূলের মিছিল। মিছিলে স্লোগান উঠল- "হোক ক্যালানো", "হোক গর্জন"।
    নির্যাতিতা ছাত্রীর বাবা নবান্নে বললেন-"যে কারণে তোমরা আন্দোলন করছো, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সে বিষয়টি দেখবেন বলে আশ্বস্ত করেছেন। তাই এবার তোমরা যাদবপুরে শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা চালু। ”
    শিক্ষামন্ত্রী বললেন- "প্রকৃত ছাত্ররা নিঃসন্দেহে স্নেহের পাত্র... প্রকৃত ছাত্রদের প্রতি রাজ্য সরকার সহমর্মী।"

    ২৩শে সেপ্টেম্বর
    রাজ্যের ছয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্যরা প্রেস বিবৃতি দিয়ে যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে নৈরাজ্য সৃষ্টিতে ছাত্রদের আন্দোলনকেই দায়ী করেন।

    ২৪শে সেপ্টেম্বর
    হাইকোর্টের প্রধান বিচারপতির ডিভিশন বেঞ্চের রায় – যাদবপুর ইউনিভার্সিটির গেটে পুলিশ পিকেট বসানোর নির্দেশ। ক্যাম্পাসের ভিতরে নির্দিষ্ট জায়গায় আন্দোলন করতে হবে।

    ছাত্র আন্দোলন ভেস্তে দেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে আয়োজিত এই সমস্ত নির্লজ্জ প্রয়াসকে জানাই বুকভরা ধিক্কার।

    All we said is that molestation is a serious charge
    to be investigated by a proper, impartial committee

    May be the two are innocent
    May be these two are the scapegoats of the authority
    And the VC is still feigning innocence behind the veil of the Pro-VC
    We just need and want one thing

    Our two demands to be met
    The VC to be condemned and removed
    and for an impartial committee to judge the six accused

    Our fight will continue
    Till time immemorial
