    Unknown to Mr 11, Wakefield was working on a lawsuit,7 for which he sought a bowel-brain “syndrome” as its centrepiece. Claiming an undisclosed £150 (€180, $230) an hour through a Norfolk solicitor named Richard Barr, he had been confidentially 8 put on the payroll two years before the paper was published, eventually grossing him £435 643, plus expenses.9

    Curiously, however, Wakefield had already identified such a syndrome before the project which would reputedly discover it. “Children with enteritis/disintegrative disorder [an expression he used for bowel inflammation and regressive autism10] form part of a new syndrome,” he and Barr explained in a confidential grant application to the UK government’s Legal Aid Board11 before any of the children were investigated.12 “Nonetheless the evidence is undeniably in favour of a specific vaccine induced pathology.”

    The two men also aimed to show a sudden-onset “temporal association”—strong evidence in product liability. “Dr Wakefield feels that if we can show a clear time link between the vaccination and onset of symptoms,” Barr told the legal board, “we should be able to dispose of the suggestion that it’s simply a chance encounter.”13

    But child 11’s case must have proved a disappointment. Records show his behavioural symptoms started too soon. “His developmental milestones were normal until 13 months of age,” notes the discharge summary. “In the period 13-18 months he developed slow speech patterns and repetitive hand movements. Over this period his parents remarked on his slow gradual deterioration.”

    That put the first symptom two months earlier than reported in the Lancet, and a month before the boy received the MMR vaccination. And this was not the only anomaly to catch the father’s eye. What the paper reported as a “behavioural symptom” was noted in the records as a chest infection.

    “Please let me know if Andrew W has his doctor’s license revoked,” wrote Mr 11, who is convinced that many vaccines and environmental pollutants may be responsible for childhood brain disorders. “His misrepresentation of my son in his research paper is inexcusable. His motives for this I may never know.”

    The father need not have worried. My investigation of the MMR issue exposed the frauds behind Wakefield’s research. Triggering the longest ever UK General Medical Council fitness to practise hearing, and forcing the Lancet to retract the paper, last May it led to Wakefield and Walker-Smith being struck off the medical register.14 15 16

    Wakefield, now 54, who called no witnesses, was branded “dishonest,” “unethical,” and “callous.”14 15 16 Walker-Smith, now 74, the senior clinician in the project, was found to have presided over “high risk”17 research without clinical indication or ethical approval. The developmentally challenged children of often vulnerable parents were discovered to have been treated like the doctors’ guinea pigs.18

    বলতে হবে, ভ্যাকসিনেশন হচ্ছে ইউজেনিস্টদের 'ভুলভাল' মানুষ মারার কনস্পিরেসি ? ( আপনার নিজের দেওয়া ডেটা থেকে যোগ করেই একটু দেখুন, কতজন 'ভুলভাল' জাতির লোকজন মারা গেছেন )।

    ও, আগে থেকে থাকা অসুখকে ভ্যাকসিনেশনের ফলে হওয়া অসুখ বলে চালিয়ে ল-স্যুট ক্লেইম করাকে তো কনস্পিরেসি বলাই যাবেনা !

    জালি ওষুধ খেয়ে বা সাইড এফেক্টের কারণে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা তো আরো অনেক বেশি। ক্লিনিক্যাল স্টাডি ধরলে তো কথা নেই।

    ওষুধ আবিষ্কার কি তাহলে ইউজেনিস্টদের কনস্পিরেসি নয় ?

    যাই হোক, কোন ভ্যাকসিন মোটেও নেবেন না। ওষুধপত্তর মোটেও খাবেন না। না খেলে, না নিলে মরতে পারেন। কিন্তু ইউজেনিস্টদের কনস্পিরেসির চক্করে তো আর মরছেন না !

    The hepatitis B vaccine's effectiveness and safety have been rigorously documented: 95% of children and 90% of adults receiving the full 3-dose series develop protective antibodies [6]. Among the 20 million Americans who have received hepatitis B vaccine so far, the most commonly reported side effects are pain at the injection site and mild-to-moderate fever. Anaphylaxis has been reported, with an estimated incidence of 1 per 600,000 doses and no fatalities [6-8]. Immunologic protection against chronic hepatitis B infection persists for at least 12 years after vaccination and may persist even after the antibody is no longer detectable [9-12]. So far, no data support a need for "booster" doses, but research on this point is still being done.

    Unwarranted Criticism
    Despite these facts, opponents of immunization have raised public concerns about the safety and necessity of hepatitis B immunization. In January 1999, an ABC news segment featured persons who claim to have suffered chronic diseases as a consequence of receiving Hepatitis B vaccine. More recently, the National Vaccine Information Center's newsletter ("The Vaccine Reaction') falsely charged that:

    Hepatitis B is not highly contagious. This is false because hepatitis B is 100 times more likely to be acquired than HIV after exposure to infected blood [13].
    Hepatitis B is "not a killer for most." This is misleading because hepatitis B infection kills 5,000 Americans every year—more than die from all the other childhood vaccine-preventable diseases combined [14, 15].
    Infection is "uncommon" in childhood and adolescence. This is false. Before universal vaccination, 10,000 children and adolescents beyond infancy acquired hepatitis B each year in the U.S. alone [16    ।।।।

    ভ্যাকসিন নিয়ে সমস্যার কথা কটা পেপারে আসে? এটা কি হনেস্টলি কাউন্ট করা হয়? হু'র কোন কাউন্টিং আছে?

  • না না। আপনি মিডিয়াকে ওভার এস্টিমেট করছেন। আমি যেমন নিজেই জানি একজনের বাচ্চা ভ্যাকসিন নিয়ে মারা গেছে। সে অনেক বছর আগে। আমাদের ছোটবেলায়। তিনি মিডিয়ার কাছে যাওয়ার কথা ভাবেনই নি। আর মারা যাওয়া তো এক্সট্রিম কেস। ভ্যাকসিন নিয়ে বাচ্চা বেশী ভুগছে এ তো আকছার শোনা যায়।

    "What we do see is a variety of local reactions, such as pain at the injection site, swelling, redness and reactions such as fever, headache, muscle pain or fatigue," she said. Such reactions, which are common after flu shots, usually disappear after a day or two, she added.

  • Chinese health officials reported on Nov. 13 the first deaths in people who received the H1N1 vaccine. The Ministry of Health announced that the two people, including a teacher from Hunan province, died hours after receiving their inoculations. Since September, when the ministry began its H1N1 immunization program, 12 million Chinese have received the pandemic flu shot.

    A preliminary autopsy revealed that the teacher died of an apparent heart attack while playing basketball, and a ministry spokesperson told the China Daily newspaper that the death was a "coincidental medical incident" and not related to the vaccine.

    ফ্লু শট নেবার পর আমার কতটা কী জ্বর জ্বর লাগছে জিগিয়েছিলেন। সে তো লেগেছেইল । লাগেই। টিটেনাস শট তো প্রায় সবাই নিয়েছে। লাগে না ?
    তাকে কি অসুস্থতা বলতে হবে ?
    আর এও বলা থাকে, শরীরে কিছু প্রি-এক্সিস্টিঁ কন্ডিশনের জন্য জটিলতা হতে পারে। নেবার আগে একটা বড় লিস্টি ও ধরানো হয়। কীসে কীসে কী অ্যালার্জি থাকলে কী হতে পারে।

    টিটেনাস শট নিয়ে কী মত ? নেওয়া উচিত না ?

    ওষুধ নিয়েও তো কিছু বল্লেন না :)

  • একবছর আগে আমি নিজে সিটি স্ক্যানের সময় ইঞ্জেক্ট করা ওষুধের অ্যানাফাইলেক্টিক শকে মরতে বসেছিলুম। এবার এমনি কেস লাখে একটা হয়। স্ক্যানকারীকে খুব কেয়ারফুল থাকতে হয়। আগে থেকে রোগীকে সাবধান করে রাখতে হয়। সেগুলো না করা হলে, তাই নিয়ে প্রশ্ন , আপত্তি তোলা যায়।

    কিন্তু এর ফলে কি সবার জন্য সিটি স্ক্যান কি বন্ধ করে দেওয়া উচিত ?

    হ্যাঁ। শুধু ওষুধে যে চয়েসটা আছে, সেটা ভ্যাকসিনে প্রায় নেই।

    যেমন অনেকে আছেন যারা সহজে ওষুধ খেতে চান না। প্রথমে দেখে শরীর পারছে কিনা। একবারে না পারলে ওষুধ খান। কারণ একেবারে মরে যাওয়ার থেকে ওষুধের সাইড এফেক্টটা তখন শ্রেয় মনে হয়। কিন্তু ভ্যাক্সিনে চয়েস বলে প্রায় কিছুই নেই। আপনি যদি বাচ্চার ভ্যাকসিন রিফিউজ করেন আম্রিকায় শুনেছি পুলিশ টাইপের কাকে একটা ডাকে।

    এমন যদি হত দোকান থেকে ভ্যাক্সিন কিনে যার ইচ্ছে সে নেবে, আমার কিছু বলার ছিল না। কিন্তু কোম্পানীগুলো করে কি, বাল্কে ভ্যাক্সিন সরকারকে বেচে। দিয়ে সব্বাইকে সেই ভ্যাক্সিন দেওয়া করায়। ট্যাক্সপেয়ার পয়সা দেয়। ভ্যাক্সিন রিফিউজ করার সোশাল প্রেশার সাংঘাতিক।
